Transport Supervisor - Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Legal compliance of equipment, staff and procedures at all times.
• Daily scrutinizing of routes, payloads and utilization to ensure maximum productivity.
• Engage with staff on a regular basis, encouraging teamwork and building relationships.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents ensuring root cause outcomes are achieved and implementation of corrective measures,
• Controlling and planning of expenditure within the entire department to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Supervision of all distribution staff and implementing actions to rectify any non-conformances.
• Ensuring that all vehicles are serviced regularly, and all licencing and documentation is up to date

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Matric or Grade 12 / NQF 4 learning ability.
• Degree/Diploma in logistics or transport management
• Fully computer literate in all Microsoft packages
• Experience with SAP advantageous
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in the logistics field
• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong people management skills
• Own reliable transport with clear and valid drivers’ licence
