CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

|
Organizes, administer & manages travel arrangements for employees, negotiates & communicates with travel vendors regarding travel queries and expectations, ensures cost-effective, efficient & reliable travel arrangements in accordance with the institution’s policies, guidelines and norms. The incumbent is responsible for relationship management with all stakeholders and ensures adherence to the relevant institutional procedural provisions in the exercise of overall duties.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

- Oversee and procure items on a daily basis for defined and non-defined items.
- Oversee and procure items using the RFQ process.
- Execute the procuring of capital purchases.
- Liaise with suppliers and end-users.
- Outstanding commitments.
- Adhoc tasks in the procurement function
- Maintain PURCO contracts
- knowledge of Tender & Quotation administration

REQUIREMENTS
|
- Required minimum education: M + 3
- SAQA approved qualification(s)/degree/diploma in any of the below:
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Management
- Logistics/Purchasing
- Operations Management
- Public Financial Management
- Public Management/ Public Administration
|

Required minimum experience:
3 years’ relevant experience in procurement including computer knowledge in a corporate or government environment and knowledge of PPPFA and B-BBEE legislations.
