Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents related to military and defence operations
  • Gather and analyse evidence to support decision-making processes
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective investigative processes
  • Maintain legal and ethical standards throughout all investigative activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Military Studies, Law Enforcement, Criminology, or related field
  • Proven experience in conducting investigations in a military or defence setting
  • Strong knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in investigative roles within the military or defence sector
  • In-depth understanding of military operations and protocols
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Military Studies, Law, or related field
  • Professional certification in investigation techniques
  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information

Working Conditions:

This role may require working irregular hours and being on call during emergencies. Travel to various locations within the Eastern Cape region may be necessary. The work environment can be demanding and high-pressure, requiring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
