Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg

Job Type: 12 months contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Ensure adherence to applicable Financial Policies and Procedures
  • Provide detailed information (related to Engineering) for Capital Investment
  • Prepare and plan for Budgets (Capital, Abnormal Costs and Projects), related to Engineering
  • Prepare Engineering expenditure forecast
  • Manage the Engineering Project Budget & Schedule
  • Assist with the drafting of Capital Investment Projects for approval
  • Ensure compliance to all legislative regulations to maintain a risk free, zero harm environment
  • Manage the requirements of the Fatal Risk Control Protocols
  • Comply to Emergency Preparedness and Response within the Function
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are undertaken in accordance with the agreed
  • Engineering design criteria upfront in the project
  • Demonstrates an ability to influence, communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the business and maintain relationships, possessing strong collaborative engagement skills and a diverse and inclusive team culture, capabilities of presenting to large groups of internal and external stakeholders at senior executive level

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Must a GGC mining certification

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 yrs in Coal mining, industrial or construction industry
  • Must have performed Studies

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Project management principles
  • Health and safety regulations in the mining industry
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
