Sales Manager Passenger Vehicles - POS25191

Based: Meadowdale

Salary: R20 000,00 basic + (based on experience) + other benefits

Are you a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a proven track record in the motor industry? We're looking for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and knows how to drive performance, motivate teams, and deliver top-tier customer experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, or Marketing (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the motor industry, with at least 2–3 years in a management role
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle financing, insurance, and F&I processes
  • Valid driver’s licence and a clear criminal record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability
  • Customer-centric, sales-driven mindset
  • Proficient in data analysis and converting insights into effective sales strategies
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and resilience

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the new and/or pre-owned vehicle sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to grow market share and drive revenue.
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics, conducting regular reviews and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee vehicle stock levels and product mix to ensure optimal inventory and availability.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing a smooth, professional, and client-focused sales process.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with OEMs, financial institutions, insurance providers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to sales staff, ensuring skills development and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to dealership policies, regulatory requirements, and industry compliance.
  • Prepare, analyse, and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
