Job Overview:

The main responsibility of this position is to provide excellent customer service to guests and visitors of the property. This includes efficiently serving orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Restaurant Operations:

• Ensure all tables are properly set with candles, plants, clean cutlery, and glasses.
• Remove any dirty items from the table before seating guests.
• Maintain a neat appearance and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Keep the restaurant tidy at all times.
• Greet guests and offer them a drink upon seating.
• Take and serve orders for drinks and food.
• Verify orders with guests to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure plated food is presented properly and meets the guest's order.
• Present bill/payment to guests and provide correct change.

General Administration and Restaurant Operations:

• Ensure all slips are signed and filed with reception.
• Track all drinks served through the POS system or issue book.
• Post any additional charges to guest's account.
• Maintain stocked and clean fridges.
• Set out and put away cushions as needed.
• Organise self-service, salad, and buffet areas.
• Assist managers/assistants with checking and unpacking deliveries.
• Promote customer satisfaction through efficient and courteous service.

Customer Services:

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of front-of-house experience.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Experience with Apex is preferred.
