Job Title: Clerk of Works (EC&I)

Location: South Africa, Nkangala District, Middelburg

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Appropriate qualification in Civil or Instrumentation Engineering (NQF Level 6)
• Safety course: A3
• Safety Leadership Programme
• A qualification in project management would be an advantage

Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Foreman in the construction or mining industry
• Experience in implementation related projects would be advantageous
• Experience in the coal mining industry would be advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

• A good knowledge of legislation relating to the mining industry. E.g. Mine
• health and safety act, Environmental legislation including the Occupational, Health and Safety Act
• In depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical or civil engineering processes and practices, as well as within the construction discipline
• An understanding of contracting principles
• Knowledge of project management packages such as Microsoft Project
• Working knowledge with of the discipline specific principles
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings
• Communications skills (written and verbal)
