We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Financial Manager to lead our finance department.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) with a proven track record in financial reporting,

team leadership, and process improvement. You will be responsible for the integrity of all

financial data, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing critical insights to guide

company strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting:

• Prepare and oversee the complete suite of management accounts and financial reporting.

• Maintain and monitor the balance sheet, fixed asset register, and IFRS16 (Custodian)

• Lead the annual external audit process and prepare year-end financial statements.

• Ensure accurate and timely VAT reconciliations, EMP201, and EMP501 submissions.

• Manage cash flow, perform covenant calculations, and report to banking partners.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial administrators.

• Drive performance management, objective setting, and foster a high-performance culture.

• Develop and enhance financial workflows, systems, and processes for maximum efficiency.

Strategic & Commercial Input:

• Provide expert input into company and financial strategy.

• Oversee business planning for the finance department.

• Ensure full compliance with all statutory financial requirements.

• Monitor fixed assets and inventory controls.

• Review creditor reconciliations and authorize payment runs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)] or in the process of completing articles.

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and payroll regulations

(SARS).

• Proven proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a finance team.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.

• High level of integrity, accountability, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.

• Commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
