Our client is seeking a suitably qualified People & Culture Officer to join their team, located in Cape Town. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this diverse role is responsible to provide administrative support in People policies, analytics, recruitment, and other related HR programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with talent acquisition and various recruitment needs (including internal and external job postings/advertisements, scheduling of interviews, references, correspondence with applicants, etc).

  • Organise and manage the new starter experience (end-to-end) including but not limited to; contracts administration, on-boarding documentation, compliance, and inductions.

  • Manage the off-boarding process to ensure compliance including but not limited to; exit interviews, collecting company property, etc.

  • Assist with the administration of the Company Human Resources Platforms.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the Human Resource Information System and record management by ensuring employee records remain current.

  • Assist with Global Mobility processes to ensure compliance within the relevant jurisdictions for international placements and assignments.

  • Collaboratively work with the Global People & Culture Group to provide consistent, diligent and professional service and support to our client.

  • Assist with collating data, statistics and documentation for business development, management and reporting purposes.

  • Assist with Skills Development and Employment Equity/Affirmative Action planning, implementation and reporting.

  • Admin and filing.

  • Ad hoc duties as required.

  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, efficiently and collaboratively in a team and knowledge sharing environment, with colleagues across all business units.

  • Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including colleagues.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and a practical approach to problem solving.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or equivalent from a recognised institution.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a People role within related industries.

  • Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.

  • Proven experience working with the Microsoft suite of software packages, specifically Word and Excel.

  • Proven experience working in HRIS advantageous.

  • Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.

  • High degree of professional ethics.
