We are recruiting for a Technical Lead - AWS Cloud Infrastructure to join our ever growing team.
Job Description:
The Technical Lead – AWS Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for leading the design and delivery of AWS-based infrastructure solutions across client projects. This role provides hands-on technical leadership, ensuring that AWS environments are architected, implemented, and optimised according to best practices.
The role plays a critical part in bridging architecture and engineering, working closely with project teams to deliver secure, scalable, and operationally supportable cloud environments. The Technical Lead is also responsible for mentoring engineers, enforcing standards, and contributing to delivery excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple client projects
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across networking, compute, storage, and security in AWS
- Ensure adherence to AWS best practices, architecture standards, and security frameworks
- Support solution architecture by contributing to design decisions and technical validation
- Take ownership of technical delivery quality across assigned projects
- Guide and mentor cloud engineers, promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement
- Implement and maintain AWS landing zones, including identity, governance, and networking
- Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and platform automation
- Ensure smooth Build → Run transitions by working closely with Managed Services teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across AWS environments
- Contribute to effort estimation, planning, and technical risk identification
Experience and Capability:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure design and implementation
- Proven experience delivering AWS-based infrastructure solutions in enterprise environments
- Deep understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.)
- Experience with AWS networking, including VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and security controls
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation practices
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools within AWS
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in delivery environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in infrastructure, cloud, or engineering roles
- Minimum 3–5 years’ hands-on AWS experience
- Proven experience delivering AWS infrastructure in project-based environments
- Experience working in complex, multi-project delivery environments
- Experience supporting production environments and operational handover
Technical Authority
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Strong hands-on AWS engineering capability
- Ability to lead technical delivery and guide engineering teams
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security principles
- Practical experience with automation and DevOps practices
Commercial & Delivery Experience
- Exposure to project delivery environments with accountability for timelines and quality
- Ability to contribute to effort estimation and delivery planning
- Understanding of the importance of delivery efficiency and client satisfaction
Certifications / Knowledge (Minimum Expectation)
One or more:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (advantageous)
- Relevant Infrastructure / Networking certifications (beneficial)
