Project Manager – Construction & Engineering – POS25242

Based: Sierra Leone

Salary: Market Related

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full project lifecycle of large-scale mining and process plant projects across Africa. The successful candidate will oversee construction, engineering, project controls, QA/QC, HR/IR, resource planning, client management, and overall project profitability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Construction Engineering or Project Management.
  • 10+ years’ experience managing mining process plant projects, with a strong focus on process piping.
  • Proven background in Mining or Oil & Gas projects across SMPP, HDPE/carbon steel piping, civil works, and tank building.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management (PMBOK) and contractual frameworks.
  • Skilled in Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
  • Previous experience working in African countries (preferred).

  • Strong technical knowledge with excellent conflict-resolution skills.
  • Financially astute with strong project profitability management.
  • Clear communicator with strong presentation and leadership skills.
  • Team player with the ability to lead diverse project teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle: estimation, initiation, planning, execution, and close-out.
  • Oversee construction, engineering, and project controls with full accountability for P&L.
  • Prepare project-specific documentation: tender enquiries, budgets, execution plans, and resource plans.
  • Lead client management, project meetings, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across SMPP, piping, civil works, scaffolding, coatings, and structural projects.
