Junior Production Assistant – Boutique Ice Cream Company (Woodstock, Cape Town)

My client, a small boutique ice cream company based in Woodstock, is looking for a Junior Production Assistant to support their kitchen team.

This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on ingredient preparation and assisting with day-to-day production tasks. It’s a vital part of the process, and they’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing consistent, accurate work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with weighing, measuring, and preparing ingredients.
• Follow exact recipes and production processes – no improvising.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
• Stay on your feet throughout the shift and complete all tasks with care and focus.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of kitchen measurements (grams, kilograms, litres, etc.).
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work precisely and repetitively – this is not a creative or expressive role.
• Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions exactly.
