KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interaction with guests, colleagues, and suppliers, both telephonically and via email
  • Selling &Beyond products and services
  • Providing professional and consistent guest service
  • Supporting colleagues by providing backup cover when required
  • Creative, well-designed itineraries aligned with guest expectations
  • Payments collected and documentation issued correctly and on time
  • Guest budgets managed and achieved within agreed parameters

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Accurate and timely handling of all guest enquiries
  • All enquiries responded to in a timely and efficient manner
  • Consistently positive, friendly, and welcoming guest experience
  • Seamless operational support during colleagues’ absence
  • Continuous improvement in product and destination knowledge

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • A good knowledge on any of the destinations that &Beyond promote within South America
  • A good knowledge on FIT and Groups policies and procedures
  • A good knowledge of the lodges and properties within Chile and ideally Argentina
  • Working experience in tour operating and general reservations procedures
  • A passion for delivering service excellence
  • An in-depth knowledge of Tourplan advantageous
  • A willingness and aptitude to learn

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English
  • Understanding of travel industry through study or work experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Working in an orderly manner to ensure that files can be continued by other Consultants when necessary
  • Good understanding of terms and conditions, product knowledge, third party and &Beyond Product destinations
  • Excellent computer skills including:
    • Tourplan advantageous
    • MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • WETU
    • People’s person with great communication skills
    • Good organisational ability
    • Initiative
    • High energy levels needed
    • Must be able to ADD VALUE
    • Able to travel; flexibility in terms of working hours
    • Self-driven; very responsible but fun; passionate about &Beyond
    • Proactive, have a sense of urgency and be able to act quickly to resolve problems
    • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and being able to make decisions based on these analyses 
    • Understanding and knowledge of the different markets in which &Beyond operates in
    • Relevant understanding of Business to create and formulate a strategy and make commercial decisions

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of five years previous tour consulting experience required
