REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of a B.Eng or B.Tech degree in Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Project management certification would be advantageous.
• Engineer with 4 to 6 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to multi-disciplinary projects or engineering within the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Energy sectors.
• Experience working or contracting with refineries in South Africa is desirable.
• Familiarity with typical contracting frameworks (NEC 3 preferred), EPC, or EPCm.
• Proficient in MS Office. Experience with Revit and Inventor is essential.
• Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid Code B/EB driving licence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage multi-disciplinary projects assigned throughout their full lifecycle, which may include FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Prepare quotations and tenders for prospective projects.
  • Develop project execution plans aligned with contract requirements.
• Develop and review comprehensive quality management and control plans for projects.
• Oversee cash flow and manage project budgets effectively.
• Identify and appoint all necessary resources, including subcontracted services, for each project.
  • Ensure effective coordination of all resources and functions to fulfil contract obligations.
  • Manage project scheduling.
  • Oversee project risk management.
  • Ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards during execution.
  • Comply with the Business Management System.
• Utilise MS Project, Primavera P6, and other relevant software systems proficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
