Engineer / Manager – FLUID TECH
JOB DESCRIPTION
Function The employee is employed as a Project Engineer / Project Manager, as part of the Fluid Technology Hydraulics team. Projects and jobs include the Industrial, Marine, and Offshore oil and Gas sectors. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Tasks will include: • Initiate, manage, and oversee Jobs and Projects from Start to Completion • Communicate with clients and identify their requirements. Offer, together with the Fluid Tech team, a viable solution that is cost effective, well designed and safely executed.
• Assisting workshop and our sales team where technical advice is needed in relation to: o New builds and hydraulic systems o Repairs and upgrades to hydraulic systems and products • Being familiar with the Parker range of hydraulic equipment and components • Compile tender documents that are technically compliant with the customer’s requirement, and which are market related. • Site management for projects would also be a requirement. • Data packs and completion reports • Hydraulic system analysis and trouble shooting • Direct reporting to the Fluid Tech senior manager
Qualifications, Experience, and Prerequisites: • Degree or NHD in Mechanical Engineering is Preferable • Min 5 years exposure in the Hydraulic engineering and Project management sectors • Computer literacy and competency in using MS Excel, projects, and Word, and preferably Syspro. • Being familiar with the Parker range of hydraulic equipment and components will be beneficial. • Effective communication and Management skills • Ability to work under pressure. • Offshore survival course / certificate • Valid passport • Sound knowledge of General Conditions of Contract
