The Global People Master Data Management service line works in partnership with the Group P&O Data governance team to deliver the people (employee and contractor) data and process strategy for the Group in accordance with GSS principals.  The service delivery is to administer and support the relevant Anglo American Group P&O policies within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA). The incumbent will deliver a successful Global Organisational Management, Employee and Contractor Maintenance function.

PURPOSE

he PMDM Administrator plays a critical role within the Global People Master Data Management service line, working in close collaboration with the Group P&O and Data Governance team to support the delivery of Anglo American’s global people data and process strategy. This role is instrumental in ensuring that employee and contractor data is managed with precision, consistency, and in full alignment with Global Shared Services (GSS) principles.

As a key contributor to the administration and support of Group P&O policies, the PMDM Administrator ensures that all services are delivered within the framework of established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The incumbent will be responsible for executing core data management activities, including Global Organisational Management and Employee and Contractor Maintenance, with a strong focus on data integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.

This position requires a detail-oriented and process-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support the seamless flow of people data across systems and functions, enabling accurate reporting, informed decision-making, and consistent employee experience across the Group.

The purpose of this role is to ensure governance, data integrity and business support for all Anglo-American Group Functions and Business ensuring delivery of exceptional, on-time, high quality customer service.

WORK OF ROLE

Service Delivery to Business Units and Group Functions (Anglo American):

Organisational Data Maintenance and Services:

  • Organisational Data Maintenance:
  • Accountable for timely and accurate processing within the required Service Level Agreements (SLA), of:
    • Global Foundational objects – SAP on premise / SuccessFactors
    • Individual & Bulk Organisational data updates – Navigator+
    • Retained organisational data fields - SAP on premise
  • Accountable for performing continuous master data validations
  • Accountable for administering compliance to Group (and BU where applicable) HR policies and procedures
  • Continuously perform data cleansing and rationalisation of Organisational data
  • Bank creation
  • Maintenance of planned compensation, where applicable

Employee Data Management services:

  • Contractor Engagement and Maintenance:
    • Manage contractor lifecycle -Onboarding, maintenance and termination of contractor profiles.
    • Ad-hoc administrative support
    • Manage AD access, licenses, and manage queries through to resolution and escalation issues where relevant
    • Review onboarding, maintenance and termination forms/templates
    • Manage queries through to resolution and escalation issues where relevant
    • Group Functions request for all Employee Data related requests
    • Liaising with P&O based in Singapore, the UK and South Africa
    • Accountable for timely and accurate processing within the required Service Level Agreements (SLA), of:
    • Maintain Work Schedule for Contractors
    • New Vendor Creation
    • Immigration Compliance relevant to Contractors
    • Management of the Contractor Engagement Portal and HR Portal for Group Functions onboarding activities including:
  • People Data Maintenance Services:
  • Joiner and Mover data validation and maintenance:
    • Validating all data received from JML, including copies of all relevant data i.e dependents information, marriage certificates, ID verifications, EEA1 forms etc
    • Liaising with other service lines to ensure completeness of onboarding.
  • Leaver Data Validation & Maintenance:
    • Ensuring that all leaver data is up-to-date and verified before termination takes place
    • Bulk Leaver Data Validation & Maintenance (VSP)
    • Liaising with other service lines to ensure completeness of offboarding
  • Personal & Job Change Data Validation & Maintenance
  • Individual and Bulk Employee Movements
  • Immigration Compliance

Foreign National Documentation Management

  • Data Quality Assurance
  • Manage and monitor data integration

Reporting:

  • Assist with scheduled reporting to stakeholders as per SLA requirements, where possible expand these to pursue value delivery to the client through data insights and analytics.
  • Capture and support monthly KPI reporting inputs to enable a view of activity of the regional service delivery team.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting where required

EXPERIENCE

2+ years’ experience in Employee and organisation data management

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP HR employee/contractor proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in Success Factors/Employee Central proficiency
  • Knowledge Specific to the role:
      • Knowledge of ERP HR - Success Factors and SAP systems (Success Factors, Employee Central)
      • Legislation pertaining to the HR and payroll environment, i.e. PAYE, GDPR, POPI, BCEA, etc.
