Know-How, Technical Skills and Experience (n. of years and where)
· Matric/Grade 12 (NQF 4) is essential
· Bachelor’s degree/B.Tech in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years proven experience as an external sales representative preferably in a wholesale and retail industry
· Strong understanding of sales strategies, CRM software and sales operations
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
· Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and client visits.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential customers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Present, promote, and sell products using solid sales techniques to existing and prospective customers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive long-term business growth.
- Understand customer needs, provide appropriate solutions, and address any concerns in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximise revenue.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
MARKET & SALES STRATEGY EXECUTION
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Develop and execute sales plans in alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to refine sales strategies and improve performance.
- Track sales performance, analyse trends, and adjust approaches as needed to optimise results.
REPORTING & ANALYTICS
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business transactions using the company’s CRM system.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Sales Director.
- Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve sales processes and customer engagement.
COLLABORATION & OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
- Work closely with internal departments (customer service, stores, front office) to streamline sales processes.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and sales events to stay updated on company developments and market trends.
