Title: Face-to-Face Fundraiser

Purpose of the Role

Greenpeace Africa Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Fundraising Team as Face-to-Face Fundraisers.

In this role, you will engage directly with the public to grow Greenpeace Africa’s supporter base by recruiting new monthly donors who fund our independent environmental campaigns across Africa.

You will represent Greenpeace Africa, inspire action for the environment, and contribute to meaningful impact while developing strong communication and fundraising skills.

Main Duties

Fundraising and Donor Recruitment

  • Sign up two or more new monthly donors each day

  • Work with your team to meet fundraising targets

  • Talk to people in assigned locations and explain Greenpeace Africa's mission

  • Use the fundraising methods and talking points we provide

  • Always be respectful and follow Greenpeace values

Campaign Communication

  • Understand and communicate Greenpeace Africa’s campaigns clearly.

  • Represent the organisation professionally.

  • Share public feedback with the team.

Teamwork & Administration

  • Report results and participate in team meetings and training.

  • Support team members and new joiners.

  • Complete accurate reports, timesheets, and ensure compliance with policies and data protection rules.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A genuine passion for environmental protection

  • Energetic, positive, and target-driven mindset.

  • Ability to work in teams and stay motivated.

  • Face-to-face fundraising, sales, customer service, or public engagement experience.

  • Experience in target-driven environments.

  • Interest in environmental or social impact work.

Working Conditions

Hours: 40 hours per week. Work is primarily conducted outdoors in various public locations across Mauritius.
