Areas of Responsibilities
Project Support
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
Site Investigation and Surveys
- Conduct site visits and surveys to collect relevant data for project design and planning.
- Assist with the preparation of site investigation reports and the interpretation of survey results.
- Consult with other engineering disciplines and specialists (e.g. environmental, OHS etc.) to gather necessary site information.
Design and Analysis
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce detailed engineering designs and plans.
- Assist in performing technical analysis to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs are in line with project objectives and client requirements.
Construction Supervision
- Support the supervision of construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor progress on-site and report on any issues or discrepancies that arise.
- Ensure that materials and workmanship meet the required quality standards.
- Calculate quantities for relevant BOQ.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that all designs comply with local, national, and international standards, codes, and regulations.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including reports, design calculations, and project specifications.
- Keep accurate records of project progress, construction activities, and any changes to the original plans.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for clients and stakeholders.
Health and Safety
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during project planning, design, and execution.
- Support the implementation of safety measures on construction sites to ensure the well-being of all personnel.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and provide input where necessary to support project development and execution.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and external consultants
Education, Language & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience
- Prior internship or work experience in civil engineering (preferred but not required.
Knowledge
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
- Basic understanding of project management and construction processes.
Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
