CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
•To ensure the processing and effective administration of student accounts in compliance with Nelson Mandela University policies, procedures, and systems.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
•Make appropriate adjustments to student accounts in accordance with Nelson Mandela University policies by means of journals/refunds
•Responsible for problem-solving of dispute accounts
•Run validation reports to identify risks and irregularities on the fee accounts
•Handle written and verbal inquiries
•Processing of batch journals according to institutional policy
•To ensure accurate maintenance of employer statuses


CORE COMPETENCIES

•Knowledge of Integrated Tertiary Software (ITS), MS Word, Outlook and Excel
•Financial Management skills
•Good analytical skills/Problem-solving
•Ability to communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
•Sound knowledge of policies and procedures


REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for appointment to this post, the candidate must have.
• Matric and preferably Financial Accounting I, with at least a minimum of three years’ experience in financial administration, or,
• Minimum of National Diploma in Financial Information Systems, Financial Accounting, and Cost and Management Accounting qualification with at least one to two years’ experience in a financial environment.
