G4S Cash Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Regional Security Manager to lead the investigation function within the Western Cape and Northern Cape region. The primary objective is the effective management of investigators and the investigations process to mitigate risk to the organisation. This role is critical for developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and other key related parties.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal Threat Identification: Analyse threats, conduct crime and incident pattern analysis, perform lifestyle audits, and manage intelligence-driven investigations to identify high-risk individuals and unethical conduct.

  • Incident and Investigation Management: Lead intelligence operations in conjunction with law enforcement, manage incident scenes, and coordinate all information received. Provide tactical and operational support to investigators.

  • Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the management and maintenance of the incident database and data systems. Analyse loss data and information to provide actionable intelligence and determine risk profiles.

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Foster and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement (SAPS), judicial agencies, Sabric, Business Against Crime (BAC), and risk divisions of clients to assist in crime reduction efforts.

  • Compliance and Administration: Manage compliance with policies, legislation, and regulations. Oversee the Group Attack/Loss Incident Reporting Process (IARs and FARs) and ensure proper data record-keeping and finalisation of investigation dockets.

  • Team Leadership: Ensure the Investigations Section is aligned with Group policies and strategic direction. Provide support, coaching, and performance management to the team of Investigators and Compliance Auditors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification: Matric/Grade 12 essential. A Degree/Diploma in Law, Forensic Investigations, Policing, or a related field is required.

  • Experience: 5 - 10 years of experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge of investigation methodologies, processes, and South African security legislation.

  • Specific Knowledge: Solid experience in intelligence gathering, corporate espionage, theft, and strong risk management. In-depth knowledge of South African Law (especially Criminal Law), company HR procedures, and Cash Security company policies is a must. Experience in Law Enforcement is highly advantageous.

  • Licensing: Code B Drivers License and PSIRA Grade E - A.

  • High level of Analytical Skills, including experience with Analyst Notebook / Online Intelligence systems and Spider diagrams.

  • Ability to handle conflict and maintain composure under difficult circumstances.

  • Computer literate (Excel, MS Outlook, Word, Google Chrome).

  • Willingness to travel extensively at short notice.
