Role Overview

Our client within the air conditioning industry is seeking an experienced and well‑skilled Airconditioning Installer in the Pretoria/Centurion area. This role focuses on the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of small unitary air‑conditioning systems (under 18Kw).

Qualifications

  • Certificate for refrigerant gas handling (mandatory).
  • Solid knowledge of refrigeration basics: pressures, temperatures, and leak detection.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of installation and commissioning of small type unitary air‑conditioning systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot faults in split systems.
  • Exposure to midwall, cassettes, under‑ceiling, and ducted units.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install and commission small unitary systems (<18Kw).
  • Perform brazing, wiring controls, and troubleshooting.
  • Apply basic electrical knowledge (up to 20 volts).
  • Ensure compliance with refrigerant handling and safety standards.
  • Maintain reliability and professional conduct (sober habits required).

Tools & Competencies

  • Proficiency with gauges, vacuums, and recovery machines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
  • Sound electrical background advantageous.
