Job Overview:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Housekeeping / Laundry Attendants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services are clean, hygienic, and presented in accordance with hotel standards, contributing to a positive and memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping duties:

  • Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas according to hotel standards.
  • Make beds, change linen, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
  • Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or damages.
  • Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Follow daily room allocations and complete tasks within required timeframes.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Laundry Duties:

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hotel linen and guest laundry.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper handling of delicate fabrics and special garment care instructions.
  • Monitor linen quality and report damaged or stained items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
  • Assist with stock control of linen, cleaning materials, and laundry supplies

General Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively as part of the housekeeping team.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering clean, fresh, and well-presented rooms and linen.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the supervisor or management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude

Theoretical Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a grade 10 certificate or a similar qualification.
  • Any additional education or certification in hospitality management, housekeeping (beneficial).
  • Proficiency in English is important for effective communication.
  • Certification or training in health and safety procedures, including knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment safety, is an advantage.
  • First Aid Certification (beneficial)
