MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Identify new sales opportunities for Voermol's range of products to achieve budgeted sales targets within the designated area.
  • Develop and expand distribution channels to increase market penetration.
  • Support sales initiatives by organising Farmer’s Days and Information Days in collaboration with formal farmer organisations (e.g. Farmer’s Associations).
  • Drive sales growth by encouraging customers to purchase Voermol products.
  • Liaise effectively with producer organisations such as NWGA, RPO, NERPO, and relevant governmental departments (Livestock).
  • Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly activity reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure achievement of sales objectives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Grade 12 (Matric) plus a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Agriculture, preferably specialising in Animal Nutrition.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in agricultural market sales.
  • Proficient computer literacy, including experience with the SAP system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think analytically and solve problems effectively.
  • Fluency in both Afrikaans and English, spoken and written.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to plan, organise, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to take responsibility for outcomes.
