Marketing Specialist – Operations & Project Coordinator
Newlands, Cape Town

As our Marketing Specialist, you willsupport the Group Head of Marketing and Sales. This critical role is ideal for a proactive, detail-driven individual with strong project management skills and a passion for operational excellence. You will be the operational anchor of the marketing team, coordinating workflows, managing creative partners, and supporting campaign execution across multiple channels.

Taking ownership of marketing calendars, project timelines, and campaign workflow, you will coordinate between the Group Head of Marketing & Sales, creative suppliers, and internal teams. Managing content approvals, brand assets, and marketing libraries, you will brief and liaise with external agencies and suppliers.

Part of your role will be to oversee the production of printed materials, signage, and guest-facing marketing collateral, as well as tracking budgets, processing invoices, and supporting financial reporting.

Compiling campaign performance data and supporting reporting cycles, as well as facilitating event activations, influencer visits, and media engagement, will be part of your responsibilities.

Along with your Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Project Management (advantageous), you have 5–7 years' experience in a marketing operations or coordination role, as well as experience managing external creative teams and agencies.

Experience in the hospitality and lifestyle industries will strengthen your application. You have high proficiency in project management tools (such as Asana, Trello, or ClickUp) and exceptional skills in Excel and Google Sheets (utilising MS Office and Google Workspace), with familiarity in Canva, Sprout Social, Mailchimp, HubSpot, CMS platforms, and digital advertising tools.

You will bring your strong planning and organisation skills to manage tasks effectively while ensuring excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work. Your outstanding communication skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with team members and convey your ideas clearly.
