Job Title: Panel Operator

Grade: C1

Reports To: Extraction Superintendent

Department/Centre: Production

Main Purpose of the job:

• To monitor and adjust the speed and performance of the cane yard carriers, diffuser and de-watering mills to achieve specified standards.
• To co-ordinate plant start-ups and shutdowns with process and boilers as required.
• To maintain correct diffuser levels, temperate profile, imbibition rates and extraction performance.
• To ensure a continuous supply of juice to process and good quality bagasse to the boilers.
• To prevent chokes, flooding, and process interruptions.
• To carry out routine inspections and maintenance of equipment during stop days and off crop period.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of production figures and stoppage report.
• Provide shift coverage to ensure production targets. quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12
• Proven exposure to sugar manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to effectively manage and motivate teams
