Purpose of the Role

To ensure exceptional customer satisfaction with Exim’s products and services for all walk-in customers by maximising sales profitability and fostering growth within the Cash & Carry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent and professional customer service at all times.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products available for sale.
• Possess a basic understanding of the functions of all machines on the shop floor.
• Exercise accurate and stringent stock control procedures.
• Ensure shelves are consistently stocked and products are presented in good condition.
• Balance the cash register and manage receipts accurately.
• Follow proper procedures for stock movements to and from the warehouse.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally where necessary.
• Take initiative in promotions and employ effective sales techniques to boost revenue.
• Achieve monthly sales targets as set by the Sales Manager.
• Undertake additional tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the business as required.
• Maintain a neat and clean store environment at all times.
• Perform general administrative duties as requested by the branch management.

Required Minimum Education & Work Experience

• Minimum Matriculation / Grade 12 qualification.
• At least two years’ production experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in food safety and Health & Safety is essential.
• Ability to work independently and think quickly in dynamic situations.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English, or proficient in a third language.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime when required.
