Main Purpose of the Job

  • Assist in attending to plant related defects or breakdowns when required.
  • Tacking of work pieces with the aim of assisting the boilermaker to assemble any task at hand.
  • Conduct housekeeping after any job completion.
  • Assist artisan in filling PM01 job tickets for the workshop.
  • Demarcating/ isolating the site, clearing of obstacles and setting up materials required for the task execution.
  • Must be able to identify different welding consumables.
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift to lift heavy project in the project and plant.
  • Physically set up work pieces required for the task.
  • Adhere to SHEQ standards and practice.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Grade 12, Forklift & Overhead crane license will be an advantage
  • Experience in the Fabrication Workshop.
  • Sober habits, 5S oriented, hard worker.
