Based in Swakopmund, this position is responsible to provide accurate and timely accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, assisting with reconciliations and reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable financial and statutory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

The incumbent is responsible for complying with all applicable company policies, procedures, standards, and legal requirements relating to  Finance, and other areas relevant to the role. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process and capture financial transactions accurately.
  • Assist with accounts payable, receivable and supplier payments.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end, year-end and financial reporting processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 plus a relevant Degree/National Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance environment.
  • Experience in reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable and general ledger processing.
  • Experience with accounting software systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in mining, construction or project environments will be an advantage.
  • Valid driver's licence will be an advantage.
