The Kitchen Sculler is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen is clean, well-maintained, organised, and operates according to the required Hygiene Standards. The role involves maintaining a proper level of clean inventory, supporting the kitchen team, and ensuring that all areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times

Key accountabilities

–        Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.

–        Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen including floors, work areas and storage spaces

–        Ensure an adequate supply of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils for service.

–        Properly dispose of kitchen waste and maintain waste management systems.

–        Store cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely according to regulations.

–        Support kitchen staff by organizing and tidying up storage areas

–        Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

–        Matric/NQF 4

–        At least 1 years’ experience in a kitchen or scullery (advantageous)

–        Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.

–        Clean criminal record
