Quantity Surveyor

 

The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee the financial aspects of projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, adherence to budgets, and compliance with contractual obligations. The role plays a vital part in the successful execution of projects by providing detailed cost estimates, managing contracts, and actively contributing to the financial control and decision-making processes.

•     Matric Certificate
•     Bachelor's degree/Diploma/Btech in QS

•     Min 5 - 10 years’ QS experience 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for electrical installations and materials.
  • Evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor claims.
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with relevant terms and conditions.
  • Prepare progress valuations, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Support project teams with cost reporting, cash flow management, and profitability tracking.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on scope, cost, and timelines.
  • Conduct site visits for measurement verification and cost assessments.
  • Support procurement planning and material cost optimization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project reporting and documentation.
  • Management of Junior QS.
