An exciting opportunity to take ownership of the guest experience and day-to-day operations of an exclusive luxury safari property.

We are seeking an experienced, mature and highly motivated Camp Manager with a strong luxury hospitality background. This is a senior, hands-on operational role for someone who thrives on delivering highly personalised guest experiences while leading a team and maintaining exceptional standards throughout the property.

THE ROLE

As Camp Manager, you will take ownership of the daily operation of the property and ensure that every aspect of the guest journey is delivered to luxury standards.

Guest Experience
Personally oversee guest arrivals, departures, hosting, meals, activities and special occasions. Anticipate guest needs, manage special requests and ensure a personalised and memorable stay from arrival to departure.

Team Leadership
Lead, motivate and develop the property team through daily briefings, clear communication and hands-on leadership. Monitor performance, service delivery and presentation while creating a positive and accountable working environment.

Property & Housekeeping
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, maintain exceptional presentation standards and ensure maintenance requirements are identified and resolved promptly.

Food & Beverage
Oversee meal and beverage service, work closely with the kitchen and service teams and ensure guest preferences and dietary requirements are communicated effectively. Monitor beverage stock, sales and opportunities to increase F&B revenue.

Stock, Administration & Financial Controls
Manage purchasing, stock control, stock takes, guest billing and operational administration. Monitor expenditure, minimise wastage and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability without compromising the guest experience.

Daily Operations
Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the property, ensuring company procedures, health and safety requirements and luxury service standards are consistently maintained.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You are an experienced hospitality professional who understands that exceptional luxury service is about anticipating what a guest needs before they need to ask.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Camp Manager, Lodge Manager, Assistant General Manager or similar senior hospitality manager.

  • Essential experience within a luxury safari lodge, private villa, 5-star lodge or comparable high-end hospitality environment.

  • Strong leadership and people-management experience.

  • Excellent guest relations, hosting and communication skills.

  • Experience managing the complete guest journey and coordinating activities, transfers and special experiences.

  • Strong housekeeping and property-standard oversight.

  • Sound F&B, beverage and stock-control experience.

  • Understanding of budgets, cost control, cash handling, guest billing and operational reporting.

  • Excellent organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills.

  • Confidence working independently and making operational decisions.

  • Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages advantageous.

  • A professional, well-presented and mature approach.
