About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Settlements Administrator to join our team based in Centurion. The primary purpose of this position is the accurate and timeous administration and completion of settlements and bookkeeping transactions in line with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Transactions: Review overall quality of branch-level settlements and CashOps files. Segregate, schedule, and execute agreed CashOps EFT settlement files to customer bank accounts according to strict contractual timelines.

Cash Reconciliations: Reconcile incoming client deposits across bank accounts and execute daily sweeps to transfer funds into the main liquidity account. Format, verify, and submit daily physical cash withdrawal orders to SBV.

Customer Support & Database Maintenance: Upload and maintain the customer database to ensure accuracy and completeness of information. Provide ad hoc support for customer queries and escalate unresolved issues to senior management for resolution.

Query Resolution & Training: Liaise with branches and reconciliation teams to resolve settlement and daily operational queries. Provide training and up-skilling for new and existing staff to assist in query resolution.

Reporting & Audit Support: Perform daily calculations of processed payment files against bank liquidity and report final closing liquidity balances. Compile customer, national, regional, and branch reports in line with non-compliance procedures. Assist with year-end audits and investigations in irregularities.

Health and Safety: Comply with safety policies, report all safety incidents, follow up on assigned safety tasks, and participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety plans and forums.
Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: Grade 12 and a Diploma or Financial Qualification.

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant working experience in general accounting. Previous Cash Management Centre experience is highly preferable.

Knowledge: Solid understanding of ERP/Accounting packages, reconciliation procedures, Cash Management Centre processes, compliance and control procedures, and various banking systems.

Technical Skills: Computer literacy in MS Office packages is essential, specifically intermediate-level Excel including pivot tables.

Personal Attributes: Strong written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, flexibility on working arrangements, and strong teamwork across multiple branches.
