As this is a generalist position the person needs to be organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise and simultaneously have highly developed people skills and EQ. The diverse scope of the projects that need to be implemented needs a dynamic, self- motivated, current thinking, highly organised and proactive individual. Hand in hand with the project implementation this person needs to be able to drive, motivate and inspire people daily to engage and participate in the various projects as well as our wellness programme. This role demands structure and proactive planning so that all is in place to enable flexibility at sporadic interjections of last-minute needs of the business and people wellness. This role always embodies and enacts the culture of andBeyond. The successful candidate would join the &Beyond Human Capital team at Bateleur House as a Human Capital: Manager – Bateleur House. The role reports into Linda King, Human Capital and Academy Director.
KEY OUTPUTS:
As a generalist the portfolio focuses on operational implementation of the varied core projects in Human Capital for the South African offices. This position serves as a key custodian of the &Beyond DNA, Way and Culture of andBeyond. The focus is on the andBeyonders journey and experience, ensuring that people, culture, wellbeing, compliance, and operational excellence remain at the heart

- Champion the &Beyond culture and values.
- Develop and distribute employee communications.
- Act as a custodian of the brand, culture, and employee experience.
- Statutory
Work in liaison with the Group Statutory Manager
Industrial Relations
- Advise, guide, and support management on all employee relations matters.
- Manage counselling, disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance processes.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company procedures.
- Support managers in conflict resolution and employee performance matters.
- Facilitate investigations and prepare relevant documentation.
- Partner with legal and external labour consultants where required.
Employment Equity & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate and maintain established Employment Equity processes and forums.
- Prepare and submit statutory reporting requirements for your region.
- Work with the Group Statutory Manager to:
- Support CATHSETA training form reporting compliance
- Monitor work permit in region
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and andBeyond policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits
Health, Safety Compliance
- Serve as Human Capital representative on Health & Safety matters.
- Coordinate health and safety training, audits, and reporting.
- Ensure legal compliance relating to workplace safety.
- Support Health & Safety Committees and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate evacuation drills and workplace inspections.
Liaise with landlords, contractors, and service providers regarding workplace safety
- AndBeyond Footprints
Work in liaison with the Group Development and Succession Manager
Recruitment
- Recruitment – in liaison with Recruitment Manager ensure all paperwork completed and Induction arranged and planned.
- Ensure all systems, access requirements, equipment, and documentation are completed before joining.
- Run and champion monthly Induction Days.
Exit Interviews
- Coordinate resignations, retirements, and terminations.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide trend analysis and recommendations.
- Manage equipment returns and offboarding checklists.
- Ensure smooth handover and exit processes.
Learning & Development
- Championing and coordinating of Departmental Cross Training within Bateleur House when needed
- Train Human Capital policies where necessary and needed by business
- Coordinate the training of the group DNA & Culture sessions
- Coordinate the outputs from the Performance Appraisals and report on all
Recognition
- Drive, support and coordinate the core Recognition Programmes
- Coordinate Long Service Awards, Bateleur Awards, and employee celebrations for your region.
- Participate fully in the Regional Bateleur Awards and the Annual Year End Event for Bateleur House
- Coordinate and plan bi-monthly Open House meetings
Facilitate and support drive the organisation of the Year End Event and any other regional staff event.

- Drive and coordinate andBeyond Life Events.
- Manage event logistics, communication, supplier coordination, and budget administration
- Support office operations with Office Co-ordinator
- Coordinate access cards, parking allocations, and general employee facilities requirements.

- Liaise with building management and service providers.
- Coordinate office improvement projects and workplace initiatives.
- Manage employee communication relating to office operations and facilities.
- Bateleur House Office & Facilities Management Support
- Human Capital Administration
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Human Capital reports.
- Develop presentations and employee communications.
- Manage Human Capital data and reporting requirements.
- Monitor budgets and support cost-conscious decision-making.
- Management of Y4Y interns in liaison with the Central Human Capital Team

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Human Capital Management, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Human Capital Generalist role or andBeyond experience.
- Strong Industrial Relations and Employee Relations experience as well as knowledge of South African labour legislation would be valuable.
- Experience in Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement would be valuable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is essential.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously is important.
