Night Front Office Ambassador

(Monthly Paid)

The purpose of your role will be to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth Front Office operations during the night shift by managing guest arrivals and departures, and supporting the Night Audit and security functions while upholding hotel standards.

Part of your role will be to greet late-arriving and early-departing guests warmly and professionally, as well as manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest details and payments.

You will handle reservations, amendments, and cancellations in the PMS (e.g., Opera), respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously, and provide guests with information on hotel services, facilities, and the local area.

Liaising with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are prepared or issues resolved and processing payments, posting charges, issuing invoices, and assisting with night audit tasks will all be part of your duties.

You must maintain a tidy, organised, and secure Front Desk environment and follow all hotel policies and safety and security procedures throughout the night.

To be successful, you have a Hospitality-related Tertiary Qualification (NQF Level 5) as well as experience in a 4* Hotel in a front desk, guest services, or customer service role with knowledge of hotel management systems or booking platforms.

You can work the night shift (23h00 – 07h00) and cover multiple functions. You have a satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence.

You bring a blend of essential skills and a client-focused mindset to ensure exceptional service delivery. Proficient in MS Office and Opera, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you excel at managing tasks efficiently. Your cash handling and basic accounting know-how, combined with your ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments, make you a dependable team member.

Fluency in English, alongside a solid knowledge of local attractions and tourism services, strengthens your ability to connect with clients. Meanwhile, your organisational abilities in administrative tasks, attention to detail, and results-driven approach ensure high-quality outcomes. Your situational awareness and collaborative nature enable seamless teamwork and a proactive work ethic.
