Job purpose
Our Client is seeking for a MuleSoft Developer to design, build, test and support enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The role delivers reusable APIs and integration flows that connect Salesforce and enterprise systems securely, reliably and in line with API-led architecture and governance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop System, Process and Experience APIs using API-led connectivity principles.
- Build integrations between Salesforce, enterprise platforms, data services and event-driven systems.
- Develop DataWeave transformations, orchestration flows and reusable Mule components.
- Create and maintain RAML specifications, API documentation and Exchange assets.
- Implement standard logging, error handling, exception management, retry and monitoring patterns.
- Apply API security controls, policies, secrets handling and secure integration practices.
- Create MUnit tests, support end-to-end testing and validate happy path and error scenarios.
- Support CI/CD deployment, environment promotion, production troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Required technical skills
MuleSoft platform
- Required capability: Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Exchange and Runtime/Cloud deployment concepts
- Intermediate expectation: Can build and deploy APIs with guidance on complex architecture or platform decisions.
API design
- Required capability: REST, SOAP, RAML, JSON, XML and API-led architecture layers
- Intermediate expectation: Can produce clear API specifications and collaborate with consumers and platform teams.
Data transformation
- Required capability: DataWeave, mapping, filtering, enrichment and validation
- Intermediate expectation: Can implement maintainable transformations and troubleshoot payload issues.
Security
- Required capability: OAuth 2.0, JWT, policies, secure properties and secrets management
- Intermediate expectation: Understands secure integration principles and avoids exposure of sensitive information.
Testing
- Required capability: MUnit, Postman, integration testing and error scenario validation
- Intermediate expectation: Can create meaningful test coverage and support defect resolution.
DevOps
- Required capability: Git branching, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation
- Intermediate expectation: Follows development and release standards consistently.
Functional experience
- Enterprise integration and API governance experience.
- Salesforce integration exposure is strongly advantageous.
- Banking, financial services or high-control enterprise integration experience is advantageous.
- Exposure to Kafka or event-driven integration patterns is beneficial.
Preferred certifications
- MuleSoft Developer I
- MuleSoft Developer II desirable
- MuleSoft Associate
- MuleSoft Platform Architect I advantageous
