Programme Manager - 6 Months Contract - Hybrid

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Planning and roadmap

Develop and maintain an integrated programme roadmap aligned to the agreed strategic objectives, covering all workstreams (including platform modernisation, pricing and execution capability, regulatory and compliance readiness, and client migration/activation), with milestones, dependencies, and critical path identified per country/client and reviewed at each governance cycle.

Governance and reporting

Establish and operate the programme governance framework, including meeting cadence, decision and escalation paths, and terms of reference for each forum. Produce weekly workstream status reporting and a monthly executive dashboard covering progress against milestones, blockers, risks, dependencies, and decisions required — each decision stated with owner and cost of delay.

Risk, issue, and dependency management

Maintain the programme RAID log with named owners, mitigations, and review dates. Manage cross-workstream and third-party dependencies (including technology vendors and regulatory approvals), escalating per agreed time-bound triggers rather than at discretion.

Delivery coordination

Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams across business, technology, compliance, and operations; ensure prioritisation and delivery of development tasks follow the Client's established delivery standards and methodology; track and chase actions to closure between governance cycles.

Stakeholder engagement

Maintain the stakeholder map and engagement plan; ensure workstream owners, executive sponsors, and impacted country/client teams receive accurate, timely communication of progress and required actions.

Continuous improvement

Identify and recommend improvements to delivery cycle time and programme efficiency, quantified where practicable, with a documented assessment confirming no increase in operational, regulatory, or client risk.

Outcomes

The services shall be performed so as to support delivery of the programme's agreed business outcomes — operational efficiency, enhanced client experience, and future-ready FX capabilities — as measured by the success metrics
