CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

  1. The main purpose of this position is to provide effective secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Director: Legal Services and professional staff members within the Department of Legal Services.
  2. The secretary assists in the proper functioning of the office by acting as receptionist, maintaining files, keeping the diary of the Senior Director, typing and copying, preparing reports, conducting correspondence, distributing information, data entry, coordinating activities of payment of fees requisitioning and management of budgets and managing appointments.
 
 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  1. Provide secretarial and administrative support.
  2. General office management including diary management and travel arrangements.
  3. Filing and information management
  4. Financial administration

REQUIREMENTS

Required minimum education:

  1. Grade 12 or equivalent (e.g. secretarial/office management/public relations and communication).
  2. At least 2 years relevant working experience.
