CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this post is to provide professional secretarial and administrative support to the Business & Economics Sciences faculty at the George campus.
|
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
|
- Secretarial and administrative support.
- Provide front office support, manage office, and respond to enquiries.
- Filing and information management.
- Financial administration and assisting with budget monitoring.
- Coordinating departmental and faculty events; and
- Academic administration.

CORE COMPETENCIES
|
|
- Knowledge of higher education administrative processes.
- Knowledge of the financial administration system, using the ITS Financial System.
- Records and document management.
- Data capturing and database maintenance skills.
- Report writing and record keeping skills.
- Travel and logistics coordination skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate events.
- Knowledge of stock control and procurement administration.
- Strong minute taking skills.

REQUIREMENTS

|
In order to be considered for appointment to this post, candidates should possess a grade 12 certificate.
A minimum of three to five years work-related experience within Higher Education, in which competency has been gained.
A qualification in secretarial, office management, public relations or communication qualification will be an added advantage.
