CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct and publish research within the disciplines of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources, supervise postgraduate students, and deal with administrative work. The primary focus of this post will be to lecture Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
|
- Facilitate learning and teaching of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources within a corporate or Academic
- Conduct and publish research in accredited journals
- Supervise postgraduate students (honours and master’s)
- Co-ordinate postgraduate programmes
- Provide academic administration
- Work closely with the other members of the Department of Industrial and Organisational Psychology as well as the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resources

REQUIREMENTS
|

|
In order to be considered for appointment to the lecturing post, candidates must:
- Be in possession of a master’s degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
- Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.
- Have two years relevant experience in facilitating training within industry/corporate world or lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Published journal articles in accredited journals and book chapters.
- Have presented research findings at conferences.
- Have a track record of successful research supervision of postgraduate students.
In order to be considered for appointment to the senior lecturing post, candidates must:
- Be in possession of a doctoral degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
- Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.
- Have one to five years relevant experience in facilitating training within industry/corporate world or lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Have published journal articles in accredited journals and book chapters
- Have presented research findings at conferences
- Have a track record of successful research supervision and examination of postgraduate students
