Tongaat Hulett Limited has a proud 133-year history and a strong socio-economic legacy in KwaZulu-Natal province, in South Africa, and into sub-Saharan Africa. Technical operations include the following: -

 Three Sugar Manufacturing mills situated on along the North coast of Kwa Zulu Natal stretching from Tongaat through to Empangeni.

A sugar Refining operations based in South Coast Road Durban

An animal feeds manufacturing plant situated in Tongaat alongside the Maidstone Sugar Mill.

A technical operations support comprising technical specialists who provide high level support to the operations both in South Africa and foreign operations.

Main Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and servicing a wide range of instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Perform standby duties
• Problem solving and fault-finding
• Installation and wiring of field instrumentation
• Read and interpret P&ID loop drawings and technical diagrams.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Matric with N3 Instruments and recognised Trade test certificate
• Experience in Sugar Mill or heavy industrial exposure
• High level of energy with a focus on execution, initiative, attention to detail and sound interpersonal skills are also essential attributes.
• Valid driver’s licence
• SAP experience will be an advantage
