Job Title

Senior Business Analyst / Feature Analyst to support Product Custody initiatives, regulatory demand, automation programmes, client enablement projects, and platform enhancements across Local Custody, Global Custody and Financial Markets services. The resource will be responsible for translating business demand into deliverable requirements and supporting end-to-end feature delivery across the Custody product landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Analysis & Demand Management

  • Analyse new product initiatives and business demand.
  • Define business value, outcomes and benefits.
  • Facilitate demand discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops.
  • Support roadmap planning and prioritisation activities.

Custody Domain Analysis

  • Analyse and document requirements for:
    • Local Custody
    • Global Custody
    • Corporate Actions
    • Settlements
    • Asset Servicing
    • Securities Lending
    • Cash Management
    • Client Reporting
  • Develop future-state operating processes and workflow models.

Regulatory & Market Change

  • Support analysis for:
    • ISO 20022 initiatives
    • Market infrastructure changes
    • Regulatory releases
    • Strate and market enhancements
    • Country-specific custody requirements
  • Assess downstream impacts to business and technology environments.

Data & Integration Analysis

  • Perform detailed data analysis and mapping.
  • Define business rules and validation requirements.
  • Support API and integration initiatives.
  • Work closely with Architects, Engineering teams and Vendors.

Agile Delivery/ Waterfall

  • Manage feature decomposition and user story creation. Detailed BRS delivery and solution doucmenetation mapping
  • Participate in PI Planning and backlog refinement.
  • Support SIT, UAT and production readiness activities.
  • Drive requirements through delivery to implementation.

Required Skills & Tools (Must-Have)

Must-Have

·  8-10 years Business Analysis experience.

·  Strong Custody and Securities Services experience.

·  Knowledge of:

·  Experience with:

  • ISO15022 (MT)
  • ISO20022 (MX)
  • Jira
  • Confluence

  • TCS BaNCS experience.
  • Standard Bank Investor Services experience.
  • SWIFT Messaging experience.
  • Exposure to Custody digital channels.
  • Experience with African market custody processes.
