Software Engineering Resources: Senior-Mid-Level

Location: Johannesburg-Onsite 

Background & Objectives:

• The initiative aims to strengthen software engineering capability across Trade Online and related platforms to:
• Improve delivery quality, engineering standards, and maintainability.
• Accelerate feature delivery through modern engineering practices and automation.
• Enhance platform resilience, scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Build sustainable engineering capability through reusable patterns, documentation, and team enablement.

Scope of Services:

• Software engineering support for priority Trade Finance products and platform enhancements.
• Development and enhancement of business-critical capabilities across Trade Online and related systems.
• Requirements for refinement, technical design, build, unit testing, code review, and production readiness support.
• Defect remediation, technical debt reduction, and continuous improvement of existing application components.

Technical Implementation:

• Adoption of secure coding standards, peer review practices, and engineering quality gates.
• Integration with CI/CD tools including Jira, Jenkins, source control repositories, automated builds, and deployment pipelines.
• Implementation of reusable components, API integration patterns, logging, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Alignment with enterprise security, architecture, data privacy, and operational resilience requirements.
