We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Risk Investigator to join our team in Richardsbay. This multi-faceted role is critical to safeguarding company assets, employees, and customers by leading end-to-end criminal, accident, and liability investigations. The ideal candidate will blend strong investigative instincts—including evidence gathering, compiling trial-ready case dockets, and establishing informer networks—with a robust background in risk mitigation and security auditing (including CCTV, access control, and cash audits).

As a key liaison between the company, our customers, and the South African Police Service (SAPS), you will drive criminal prosecutions and asset recovery while ensuring absolute alignment with corporate governance. Furthermore, this position carries vital health and safety responsibilities, requiring active participation in safety forums, incident reporting, and the enforcement of national safety compliance standards across the region.

Key Areas of Focus for the Role:

  • End-to-End Investigations: Rapidly and accurately investigating criminal activity, internal fraud, and workplace accidents to compile comprehensive dockets for prosecutions, disciplinary hearings, or liability claims.

  • Intelligence & SAPS Liaison: Cultivating regional informer networks and partnering closely with SAPS officials to secure successful criminal prosecutions and the recovery of lost assets or firearms.

  • Risk & Security Audits: Conducting regular security, cash, and surveillance audits to identify business risks, evaluate past risk handling, and manage the implementation of corrective findings.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Participating in the design and monitoring of annual safety plans, actively engaging in safety forums, and enforcing workplace safety policies.
