Compass Medical Waste Services is a leading provider of healthcare risk waste management solutions. We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our people, assets, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all security personnel and security-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor access control systems and visitor management processes.
  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of company premises.
  • Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage security shift rosters and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, security briefings, and on-the-job training for security staff.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and external security providers when required.
  • Ensure all security equipment and systems are operational and maintained.
  • Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, and professionalism within the workplace.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Valid PSIRA Grade A or B Registration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a supervisory security role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of security operations, access control, investigations, and incident management.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Licenced Firearm owner
