Key Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings to understand the production plan and schedule across various production lines.
- Ensure production personnel adhere to good manufacturing practises, quality control procedures, product specifications, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Analyse production outputs and targets from each line, collaborating with the Production Co-ordinator to implement solutions that recover production losses effectively.
- Observe and study the animal feeds manufacturing process to identify opportunities for process optimisation, considering current resources, equipment, systems, and controls.
- Maintain and update production system information and records related to output, downtime, quality specifications, and other critical data for reporting and management review.
- Utilise extensive manufacturing knowledge to prepare or contribute to responses for internal and external queries regarding the manufacturing process.
- Lead or assist in training plant personnel on new or revised methods, evaluating their understanding and awareness of applications.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Production or Operations Management.
- Five to six years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to and experience in animal feeds production is advantageous.
- Proficient knowledge of the SAP system, particularly modules related to production, administration, and transactional processes.
