Job Title : Artisan hands X 18 (Casual Pool)

Grade : A3

Reports to : Artisans / Foremen

Department : Engineering

Main purpose of the job

• Assist the artisan by stripping and cleaning machinery and identifying damage parts in machinery to streamline production
• Identify and hand over tools requested by the artisan to perform tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain checks over artisans’ tools by using the tool sheet to ensure tools are in good condition
• Carry out lawful instruction given by the artisan/foreman.
• General housekeeping to ensure the area of work is always clean and safe
• Complying and enforcing compliance of all safety standards (ISO, SHE and HACCP)

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric
• N2 would be an advantage
• 1 year working experience in an engineering environment would be an advantage.

Personal Qualities

• The ideal candidate must be honest, must be a hard worker, have traceable references and be able to work well in a team.
