Product Owner / Business Analyst – Channel Projects

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst to drive the successful delivery of channel-related initiatives by defining clear business requirements, prioritising features based on value, and aligning stakeholders around a shared product vision.

The successful candidate will bridge business needs and technical execution, ensuring solutions are customer-focused, data-driven, and delivered efficiently to achieve strategic business objectives.

This role requires strong Agile delivery experience, stakeholder engagement capabilities, backlog management expertise, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable deliverables for development teams.


Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Translate strategic business objectives into actionable product roadmaps
  • Define and communicate product vision aligned to customer and business value
  • Ensure product initiatives support broader organisational goals and digital transformation objectives

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with business leaders, operational teams, end users, and technical stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement gathering activities
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle

Requirements Elicitation & Analysis

  • Gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements
  • Translate complex business needs into user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities for optimisation

Backlog Ownership & Prioritisation

  • Own and manage the product backlog
  • Prioritise backlog items based on business value, customer impact, risk, and technical dependencies
  • Ensure requirements are refined, well-defined, and ready for development

Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Developers, QA teams, Architects, and delivery stakeholders
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
  • Support delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality solution implementation

Value Maximisation

  • Continuously evaluate delivered features and business outcomes
  • Ensure solutions meet business objectives and deliver measurable customer value
  • Support continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilise analytics, metrics, customer insights, and user feedback to guide prioritisation and product improvements
  • Monitor product performance and recommend enhancements based on findings

Quality Assurance & Acceptance

  • Define clear acceptance criteria for all deliverables
  • Validate completed solutions against business requirements
  • Support testing, UAT activities, and release readiness

Process Improvement

  • Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and efficiency improvements
  • Recommend innovative approaches to improve customer and operational outcomes

Change Management & Communication

  • Support organisational adoption of new solutions and processes
  • Communicate changes, impacts, risks, and benefits effectively to stakeholders and end users

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Analyst within Agile environments
  • Strong backlog management and prioritisation experience
  • Experience eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to translate business strategy into executable delivery plans
  • Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, and process mapping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tooling

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within banking, financial services, insurance, or digital channels environments
  • Exposure to customer-facing platforms, digital products, or channel transformation initiatives
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and product performance metrics
  • Understanding of change management and business process optimisation
