The Signature Shop Stock Controller is responsible for delivering extraordinary guests experiences by fulfilling all the tasks required in support of our Signature Shops in remote destinations and ensuring our uniquely tailored products reach their destination safely with the adequate labelling and accurate documentation.

KEY OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

                       

STOCK CONTROL:

  • Receiving, checking and GRV of all goods delivered to Signature Shop Warehouse.
  • Stock Conversions, Transfers and Issues.
  • Stock is labelled on receiving and before shipping.
  • Goods are safely and securely packed for transport to lodges, and all required documentation is included, such as invoices or packing lists.
  • All required processes are adhered to.
  • Assist with monthly stock take as and when required, as set out in the Stock Take Schedule.
  • Assist with completion of Distributions, all packing of goods and general housekeeping of the stores.

GUEST SHOPPING:

  • Assist with GRV for all goods specific to Guest Shopping.
  • Transfer, convert and process all stock movement for Guest Shopping as required.
  • Assist the Guest Shopping Manager with receiving guests and staff at the Warehouse for shopping purposes.
  • Be a back-up on POS when necessary.
  • Facilitate and assist the Guest Shopping Manager with the Annual Stock Obs Sale.

MANAGING MERCHANDISING MATERIAL, PACKAGING AND STATIONERY ORDERS:

  • Receive and process all requests from lodges for merchandising material, packaging material and stationery.
  • Transfer requested stock to cages and do invoicing.
  • Issue any items taken for internal Signature Shop Warehouse use.
  • Monitor stock levels and alert the relevant authorised person to re-order the necessary items.

RETURN OF GOODS TO SUPPLIERS:

  • Monitor all goods in the RETURNS cage and ensure the necessary action is taken.
  • Communicate with suppliers to arrange delivery or collection of goods being returned.  This includes follow-up when goods have been sent to ensure goods are received in good order at its destination.
  • Check the goods in detail and keep records of the goods being returned for reference.
  • Ensure goods are safely packaged and sent.
  • Once the return is acknowledged by the supplier, ensure that the stock is returned out of the system, accompanied by the relevant credit notes and transfers.

OTHER

  • Always adhere to deadlines and the Truck schedule to ensure we deliver impeccable service to our lodges.
  • Assist where needed in Signature Shops to ensure we keep on delivering on our promise of extraordinary guest experiences.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE)

  • Experience in Retail/Customer Service and/or logistics
  • Excellent command of English and professional communication skills – speak, read, write.
  • Experience in a stock holding environment.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel.
  • Panstrat experience an advantage.
