We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a diligent and detail-driven Finance Clerk to join our Head Office Finance Team. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, is passionate about accuracy, and enjoys supporting a high-performing finance function.

As a Finance Clerk, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes across the Group. Responsibilities include:

Financial Processing & Administration

  • Processing daily receipts, payments, cashbook entries and journal allocations.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and resolving variances promptly.
  • Capturing and verifying supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Preparing and processing supplier payments via online banking.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of supplier accounts and addressing outstanding queries.

Reporting & Month-End Support

  • Assisting with compiling monthly management reports and supporting schedules.
  • Ensuring accurate financial data is captured in Pastel and submitted within deadlines.
  • Providing administrative support across creditors, debtors, revenue reporting, petty cash and other areas as required.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Responding to internal and external finance-related queries within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure statements, queries and payment arrangements are managed efficiently.

Team & Values Alignment

  • Building collaborative relationships with colleagues, suppliers and hotel teams.
  • Upholding the Group’s values and contributing positively to its culture.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives within the department and the broader business.

Requirements

  • Matric.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a finance or accounting environment (creditors, cashbook and/or petty cash experience required).
  • Solid working knowledge of Pastel Accounting, Micros and Excel.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and commitment to excellent service delivery.
